‚Things will somehow work out‘ – it is hard to imagine an American or a German using this phrase or talking about his future like that. It is definitely entirely mismatched with cultures where reality is organized in a different way, and what is more important, where the future is planned diferently, which makes it a very Polish idiom. A great effort of modernization in recent years in Poland – an attempt to adopt other standards of quality in life organizing – did not manage to erase this idiom, which constantly and stubbornly functions in the mechanics of our habits. Wojciech Duda discovers that the strongly desired, carefully introduced, passionately promoted ‚Polish quality‘ still contains the ‚somehow‘ from the ‚things will somehow work out‘. But it is only one of the examples of a game with culture and idioms, with life logotypes, thinking schemes, that Wojciech Duda offers at the Somehow exhibition.
