This is the last exhibition in the space of Actual Art Zone in Łódź. In a few weeks the materials left by artists and structures necessary for the functioning of the gallery will be removed or transformed. The space will return to its undefined form. Before that happens however, it is worth to look at the gallery as a machine, which has gathered its potential for three years. It consists of ideological assumptions and materials relevant to various artists, that cover the interior like an inlay.

At the first sight, the gallery space is hidden from the viewer. It is obscured by the plane of hanging blinds. Dividing the room, at the same time it indicates the principal place of action – it is the image of objects of art. They form a symbolic gallery community. Interestingly, composed in an ornamental body, they cancel their origin and coherence. Is their disappearance as inspiring as the creation and continuity? Once again they affect the space of the gallery by suggesting a change of perception of art institutions, fitting it in the new order of artistic identification. - Mateusz Pęk (translation: Marta Kaźmierczak)
