The return of religion has been discussed recently, even if it is only a myth describing contemporaneity, the growing meaning of political theology in defining what is political as well as the recently emerging inquiries concerning religiosity as an important factor in art – all of the above provokes the question about the subject of faith.

The title of this exhibition, although drawn from the language of Christianity, is supposed to rather surpass both religious and antireligious dogmatism. Although it is hard to ask about the subject of faith without an automatic reference to religion or religiosity, the answer to this question doesn’t have to remain within the limits of any religion.

What interests us, is an individual confession formed in any way – privately or officially, seriously or facetiously, ironically distanced or committed. We would like to show what do the artists living in post-secular reality believe in, what are they driven by in their artistic, political, ethical and practical choices, what defines the decisions that they make on important and trivial matters.
